Mrs Lippert's third grade students had a special opportunity today to meet Sean Hollander, an Olympic luge athlete, through their participation in the Classroom Champions mentorship program. Sean is currently training in Italy as he works toward qualifying for Team USA for the 2026 Winter Olympics. During their visit, students were able to ask questions and learn more about Sean’s athletic journey and personal experiences. Throughout the school year, Sean will continue to connect with their classroom community by sharing videos focused on important social and emotional learning topics, including goal setting, perseverance, community, teamwork, and leadership. We look forward to supporting Sean in his Olympic efforts and, hopefully, watching him represent Team USA during the 2026 Winter Games!🇺🇸

WACS 3rd and 4th graders took music learning to a whole new level of fun with Miss Bena! Using shaving cream, they practiced naming and writing notes on the treble clef staff. This engaging (and slightly silly!) activity helped reinforce the lines and spaces of the staff while letting students get creative, hands-on, and a little messy as they learned.
