Thank you, NHS, for putting up our Westfield Christmas tree last week! This annual tradition helps to make our lobby feel extra festive this time of the year!

Due to current and future weather conditions, Westfield School will be closed on Monday, December 2nd.
Please be safe!

Westfield's Jingle Bus Express! 🔔 🐾
It was wonderful to see such a great turnout for the Village Light Parade!

What an incredible day we had in 4th grade celebrating the culmination of our Native American Unit! Our 4th graders showcased their creativity and understanding of Native American traditions by making cornhusk dolls, showcasing their longhouse projects, and preparing succotash—a delicious and traditional dish.
We were thrilled to have so many family and staff members join us for this special event. The students were full of excitement as they crafted their dolls, inspired by the story of the cornhusk doll and its significance in Native American culture.
We loved to see our students' hard work, creativity, and respect for these traditions come to life. Thank you to our 4th grade teachers and to everyone who joined us today!

Meet Roger, a bourbon red turkey, from Sun Dance Kids Farm. 🦃
Roger and his owner, Mr. Morton, met with all of our elementary students last week as a way to celebrate students' hardwork this fall. Students were able to observe Roger while learning all sorts of fun facts about turkeys. If you ask our students, they will tell you that Roger's gobbling was their favorite part!

Our 4th graders had the privilege of welcoming Perry Ground, a Turtle Clan member of the Onondaga Nation and a master storyteller, as part of their Native American Unit in Social Studies! 🌎
With over 25 years of experience, Perry shared engaging stories that taught us about the rich culture, beliefs, and history of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.
Students also created beautiful friendship wampum, a symbol of unity and connection, to deepen their understanding of Native American traditions. 🪶

Our first graders put on an amazing STAR Reading program last Friday, featuring a read aloud and skit of "Bear Says Thanks" and a special kindness song. 📚 🎶

Thank you to our first graders and their teachers for reminding us of the power of gratitude and giving! 🐻❤️

Good luck to our own Addie Luce as she competes at the Section 6 Swim Finals today! Let's Go Addie!

Today, our elementary students had an incredible experience participating in a mock presidential election! 🗳️ This event helped bring the concepts of civic responsibility and democracy to life for our young learners. By voting, they practiced making informed choices and understood the power of their voice in shaping the future. Our school believes in fostering active, thoughtful citizens from an early age—and today’s event was a wonderful way to inspire their interest in the democratic process.
It’s never too early to start building the leaders of tomorrow!
Thank you to our AIS team for organizing the day and schedule for Prek-5th grade! #FutureVoters #CivicEngagement #LearningByDoing
