Reminder that there is no remote instruction this Friday May 22-25, 2020 in Observance of Memorial Day. Memorial Day will look very different this year, but may we all still honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Take this long weekend to remember, reflect and rest with your families. #westfieldstrong 🐾💙

Students in grades K-4 let your creativity shine and get those STAR LOGO entries in to our STAR Committee. We can't wait to see what you have come up with for a logo!

Good morning WACS!
We would like to share this powerful resource with you that has been recently shared in communities.
Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that New York school facilities will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year. The Governor will make a decision about summer school by the end of May. As we look to the future, we must think about what a return to school buildings might look like and how best to support students, families and staff.
We know that we are stronger together. We need all voices to be heard on this important matter. Please participate in a statewide virtual conversation about reopening schools. You will be able to read and rate other participants' responses. Based on those ratings, the most important thoughts will rise to the top. All contributions are anonymous.
This is a statewide exchange facilitated by the 37 New York BOCES (Boards of Cooperative Educational Services). The exchange results will be shared with our elected officials so that they will have a more global understanding of the thoughts and ideas our community members have about returning to in-person schooling.
We encourage everyone to use the link below to share your thoughts and help evaluate the critical issues. If English is not your first language, there is a translation feature.
Thought Exchange Link: https://my.thoughtexchange.com/333518046
Your BOCES is Erie 2 (Erie-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus)
Thank you in advance for your participation.

The School Budget Vote and Board of Education election will be June 9th, but this year it will look very different. All votes will be via absentee ballot, which will be mailed to your homes. We will be sharing out information with you regularly, and we hope that you'll join us on the 26th for the live stream Budget Hearing.

Congratulations to Westfield Alum, Trevor North, for receiving the prestigious "Ideal Student Award" from St. Bonaventure University. One of the responsibilities that we take very seriously at WACS is providing a well rounded education and opportunities that prepare each student for a successful future. Congratulations, Trevor. Westfield is very proud of you.
