We apologize that our live-feed connection is unstable this evening, preventing us from streaming the Board of Education meeting live at this time. The meeting is being recorded and will be posted at the conclusion of tonight's meeting.

Congratulations to Westfield's first two Seal of Biliteracy Graduates, Katie Bodenmiller and Eliora Brown.
This prestigious program is formal recognition of students who have studied and attained a high level of proficiency in two or more languages (English plus a Foreign Language) by high school graduation. This program requires students to complete a portfolio of carefully designed tasks that allow them to demonstrate their proficiency, and culminates in a formal presentation of their research in both languages to a bilingual panel. Westfield is one of only a handful of schools across the region to offer this honors program to students and we are so proud of our recipients and their dedication to this honor.
Congratulations to the senior recipients, Katie Bodenmiller and Eliora Brown, and to the junior recipients, Emma Heim and Elber Lopez Hernandez.

WACS has partnered with Chautauqua Opportunities to provide summer meals to children in our district. Meals will start on Monday, July 6th and can be picked up by the cafeteria loop between 11-12 Monday thru Friday. Once there, please follow the information on the signs directing you where to go as the building is not accessible at this time.

Hello WACS Families:
Throughout July, we will be hosting a series of information sharing meetings via Zoom for parents/guardians of WACS students about the reopening of school. Each meeting will follow the exact same agenda, but will be offered on multiple dates to enable parents/guardians to attend one of the meetings on the day/time that works best for their schedule.
Parents/guardians can select from one of the following options to participate in this information sharing meeting:
1. Wednesday, July 15th from 4pm-5pm
2. Thursday, July 16th from 4pm-5pm
3. Tuesday, July 21st from 4pm-5pm
During each the meeting, we will follow an agenda that covers the following items:
• Provide parents/guardians of WACS students with current information that is available from various agencies pertaining to the reopening of school.
• Provide parents/guardians of WACS students with school updates regarding our planning and preparation.
• Gather thoughts, ideas, questions and feedback from parents/guardians to be considered in our reopening plans.
Questions, thoughts and ideas will be gathered in advance to ensure we use our time as efficiently as possible while using Zoom as our meeting platform.
To register for the event, please email Mrs. Tina Winslow at twinslow@westfieldcsd.org. Please be sure to specify the meeting date you plan to attend and include your name, your student’s name and any questions, thoughts or considerations you may have about the reopening of school.
Mrs. Winslow will respond to your request with the web link for the meeting.
We thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you at one of our scheduled information sharing meetings!

Summer school will begin on Monday, July 6th. Our staff is currently calling or messaging all parents regarding the time of pickup and drop-off. Students should bring a towel, swimsuit and sunscreen if you want it applied because we will have small group water activities. Breakfast and lunch will be provided but we also welcome classroom snacks that are purchased and wrapped. A parent zoom meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1 at 6PM to answer any questions you may have regarding our protocols due to COVID 19. We will message you the link.
