National Honor Society, Key & Builders Clubs, Middle School Student Government, and Yearbook recently collected household items for the Taylor family in Sherman who recently lost so much in a housefire. The groups created lists of common household items (i.e., paper towels, dish soap, washcloths, etc.) for each grade level 6-12. Congratulations to the seniors, juniors, eighth and seventh graders for completing their lists. A special thank you to Danielle Jacobson, a second-grade teacher from Sherman, for helping to get the collection boxes to the Taylor family. Mrs. Jacobson said, "It really does mean so much and how wonderful how we have seen that the community doesn't stop at borders. It's so beautiful to see our neighbors right there - helping. Tiffany and Josh Taylor are beyond grateful." Good job, WACS Family!

5th Grade celebrated Valentine's Day with some Minute to Win It Math games today!

Congratulations to our Boys Basketball team with their 68-46 win over Falconer on Friday. With that win, the boys clinched the CCAA West 2 Division for Boys Basketball! Great job guys!

Congratulations to our Girls Basketball team for their thrilling 1 point victory over Silver Creek on Saturday 2/12! Keep up the great work ladies!

Congratulations to Haleigh Dellow for her QUADRUPLE Double against Forestville Tuesday night. She had 19 points, 14 rebounds, 12 steals, and 10 blocked shots, and came within 1 assist of having a quintuple double! Fantastic job Haleigh!

Hello Westfield Families, Since last fall, we have been sharing our student-athletes’ talents via Ensemble Live. We will continue using this platform for the rest of this school year. The Pixellot system has been relocated to the other side of the gymnasium. Our goal is to provide top notch viewing during live athletic events. A big thank you to our maintenance and technology team for making this happen. Most importantly, thank you to our Wolverine Athletics for providing feedback during the implementation phase. We are pleased to inform you that the Pixellot system is now calibrated and operational. The second phase of the process is to test our “Live” stream on the NFHS network. This is to ensure things work as designed. So far all tests revealed on the Pixellot system are producing as expected. We will continue to run parallel with Ensemble for the remainder of the school year. Please note, If you would like to participate or watch any of our sporting events on the NFHS network during our parallel phase, you will need to sign up for a subscription. Here's how to watch on the NFHS Network: (OPTIONAL) 1. Visit www.nfhsnetwork.com 2. Search for Westfield Academy and Central Schools and go to our page 3. Subscribe and Follow Your School 4. Ways to watch: Smartphone, Tablet, Computer, Apple tv, Fire TV, Roku and Google TV 5. During our parallel phase, did you know that 10% of each subscription cost will support our Wolverine Athletics? We will continue to utilize our existing platform that is posted on our website. Come next fall, we will be fully switched over to the NFHS platform and will no longer stream through Ensemble. Attention 8th Grade Parents: On Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 6 pm in the Large Group Instruction Room, the Guidance and Counseling Department will be sponsoring an Eighth Grade Parent and Student Night for all parents and students in the Class of 2026. Please plan to join Mr. Cooper for this presentation that will help you and your child feel more prepared for the transition to high school.
