Today we had special guest readers in to celebrate Literacy Day with us. Volunteers read some awesome books to our students. Each of the students in these classrooms received a book to take home, compliments of the United Way. Thank you to the United Way of Northern Chautauqua for hosting this annual event. Event coordinators include the Northern Chautauqua Young Professionals and the Chautauqua County Partnership for Economic Growth. Our book sponsors include Lake Shore Savings Bank, Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation, DFT Communications, and the Ag Team. #literacyday #unitedway

This year's theme was "I Am Not Alone In Saying No." Winners from schools across the region were invited to a special ceremony earlier this week. Westfield Elementary was well represented amongst the winners.
