    Attention High School Students 
    Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)-Tuesday, March 3, 2020
    The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) will be given on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 12:15 pm to 2:30 pm in the computer lab.
    The ASVAB is used by the Guidance and Counseling Department to show how well students perform in the areas of English, mathematics, and practical arts, and is a great interest inventory.
    Interested students must sign up in the Guidance and Counseling Department by Friday, February 28, 2020.
     
    College 101: Parent Edition-Wednesday, March 4, 2020
    Jamestown Community College will offer their “College 101: Parent Edition” session on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at Fredonia High School. 
    The purpose of this evening is to provide general information about the college-prep timeline, financial aid, scholarships, and more (regardless of the college your student plans to attend).

    Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Videoconference-Tuesday, March 9, 2020
    On Tuesday, March 9, 2020 from 10 am to 11 am in the distance learning room, the Guidance and Counseling Department will be offering a video conference for students interested in a career in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

    Jamestown Community College Placement Examination-Monday, March 16, 2020 and Tuesday, March 17, 2020
    Attention students who need to take the JCC Placement Examination!
    The JCC English and Mathematics Placement Examination will be given during English and Algebra class on Monday, March 16, 2020 and Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in the Computer Lab. 
    Sign up in the Guidance and Counseling Department by Thursday, March 12, 2020.
     
    National College Fair-Wednesday, March 18, 2020
    The National College Fair will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 6 pm to 8:30 pm at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.

    ACT Registration Deadline-Friday, February 28, 2020
    The registration deadline for the April 4, 2020 ACT exam is Friday, February 28, 2020.   The cost of the exam is $67. 
    Stop by the Guidance and Counseling Department for registration materials.

    SAT at Westfield Academy and Central School-Tuesday, April 28, 2020 from 8 am to 2 pm in the LGI.

    8th Grade Parent/Student Night-Wednesday, March 4, 2020
    The Guidance and Counseling Department is sponsoring an 8th Grade Parent and Student Night on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 6 pm in the Large Group Instruction Room.
    The Guidance and Counseling Department will provide information regarding graduation requirements, the scheduling process, and answer any questions you may have about high school. 
    Both 8th grade students and their parents are invited to attend.

    Registration Form
    Please update the registration form for your student and return it to the Guidance and Counseling Department. 
    It is extremely important that we have updated and correct information. 
    We will need these forms returned even if there are no changes.

    During your high school career, involvement in extra-curricular activities is important, as colleges, universities, and employers wish to see well-rounded students who have participated in a variety of activities. 
    Please get involved in your school and community.
    Maintain a comprehensive list of all your school and extra-curricular activities.
